“Facilitating the Science of Quranic Readings.”

It will be held in Indonesia and online on 11/11/2024.

The research papers will be published in the university’s peer-reviewed scientific journal, registered with the U.S. Library of Congress. The university allows for direct payment of fees on the day of the conference before entering the hall at 8 AM.

Preamble:
It is well known how important the science of Qur’anic recitations is for understanding the Holy Quran. Our righteous predecessors dedicated themselves to it day and night, learning its various sciences and giving it their utmost attention. This led them to achieve prominence and honor in this world and the hereafter, gaining many secrets and illuminations. Today, however, we see a significant reluctance among people in general and students of knowledge in particular to learn these sciences due to their perceived difficulty and people’s preoccupation with worldly matters. Therefore, we in the Department of Qur’anic Recitations at Bashen University’s Faculty of Islamic Sciences aim to bring together specialists to make the science of recitations more accessible to the community, enabling them to benefit from its secrets and illuminations as the early scholars did, and to feel its sweetness, encouraging them to engage with the Quran and reflect upon it. Allah Almighty said: “Indeed, this Quran guides to that which is most suitable” (Al-Isra 9).

Conference Objectives:

  • To facilitate and promote the science of Qur’anic recitations for students of knowledge in particular and the community in general, including related sciences such as the science of writing, reading, counting verses, pausing and resuming, and guiding recitations.
  • To develop and facilitate the curricula for studying the Quran and its sciences using modern methods.
  • To highlight the efforts of scholars, both past and present, in simplifying these sciences.
  • To provide opportunities for researchers to publish their peer-reviewed scientific works.
  • To enhance contemporary scientific research and showcase researchers’ roles in spreading Qur’anic recitations and their related sciences.

Conference Topics:

  • Methods and ways to facilitate the science of recitations for students of knowledge.
  • The most significant difficulties facing learners in acquiring this knowledge and how to ease them.
  • Reviewing the experiences of specialized institutes and scientific centers in facilitating this science.
  • The reality of recitations in the Islamic world and means and methods to master recitations.
  • The required actions from recitation scholars today regarding this noble science.
  • Ways to benefit from modern technology in facilitating the science of recitations.

Language of the Conference:

Arabic, with the possibility of translating the papers into other languages by specialized bodies at the researcher’s expense.

Eligible Participants:

  • Universities, institutes, and educational institutions
  • Specialized research centers
  • Researchers in the sciences of the Quran
  • University professors and postgraduate students

Participation Regulations:

  • The research must not be published or submitted to another entity for publication.
  • The research must align with the conference objectives.
  • The title must be clear, precise, and address a specific aspect of significant scientific importance.
  • The summary must be in both Arabic and English.
  • The research summary should include the following points: the general objective, research issues addressed, study methodology, findings, and a brief summary of the main recommendations and conclusions.
  • The introduction must include the following elements: a suitable and direct presentation of the topic, issues, importance and objectives, definitions of key terms, theoretical framework, previous studies, and study methodology.
  • Adherence to the specified deadlines for submitting abstracts and research papers.
  • Include a preliminary summary of the research within two pages, covering the following elements: the topic, the general objective of the study, the research issues to be addressed, and some results the research aims to achieve.
  • Send a brief scientific biography of the researcher including: personal and family name, name of the university where the professor teaches or the department the student studies in, and the researcher’s email address.

Formal and Technical Guidelines:

  • The research paper should range from 20 to 25 pages and not exceed that.
  • The first page of the research must include basic information: research title, personal name and family name, the institution to which the researcher belongs, and email address.
  • The second page should contain the research summary and the opening statement, with translations into English.
  • The body of the research should be written in traditional Arabic font size 16.
  • Main headings should be in bold traditional Arabic font size 18.
  • Subheadings should be in bold traditional Arabic font size 16.
  • Footnotes should be in regular traditional Arabic font size 14.
  • It is essential to adhere to a systematic division into balanced sections and topics.

  3. In-person participation in Indonesia – Jakarta with a research paper (without publication): Fees: $200, which includes: Participation certificate + conference bag + lunch on the first and second days of the conference + breaks during the two days + official invitation.
  4. In-person participation in Indonesia – Jakarta with a peer-reviewed research paper for publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal: Fees: $300, which includes the same benefits mentioned in (3).
  5. Online participation with a scientific paper (without publication) and receiving an electronic certificate: $50. For a printed certificate sent by international mail: $100.
  6. Online participation with a peer-reviewed paper for publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal: $200.

After the joint organizing committee meeting for the Scientific Miracles in the Qur’an and Sunnah Conference, held by PASSION University in the USA and UIN Sunan Gunung Djati State Islamic University in Bandung, Indonesia, it has been agreed to reschedule the conference to November 26, 2024. The venue will be the College of Islamic Theology at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati in Bandung, Indonesia.

Participants’ research papers will be published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, along with additional benefits and privileges. The final deadline for submitting abstracts and research papers is October 15, 2024, and fees can be paid directly on the day of the conference at 8 AM.
